The Town of Light coming to Xbox One

Publisher Wired Productions will be bringing Italian developer LKA.it’s award-winning psychological adventure The Town of Light to Xbox One later this year.

This will be an enhanced version of the original PC release, offering new puzzles, additional story elements, reworked voiceover dialogue, more interactive elements and a huge graphical and UI overhaul that aims to deliver a more polished and immersive experience.

Winner of the indieDB Editor’s Choice 2015 award for “Best Visuals”, and Game Connection Paris 2014 for “Best Narrative”, The Town of Light is a first-person, psychological story-driven adventure game set in the Volterra Psychiatric Asylum – a former mental treatment facility based in Tuscany, Italy. The asylum was shut down in the late 1970s due to an Italian law that instructed all asylums to close completely and give back patients their civil rights.

Demon hunter Victor Vran coming to Xbox

Victor Vran

Victor Vran is one of those games that seems inspired by so many other things that it’s original in itself. The current Steam hit, by Haemimont Games, mixes action and RPG in a frenzy of demon-killing and destruction, garnering much praise from critics and community alike. The developer has teamed up with publisher, Wired Productions, to announce that they intend on bringing Victor Vran to Xbox One in 2017.

Set in a beautiful but dark gothic world, Victor Vran is an intense ride of demons, ghosts and spells. With a stunning soundtrack as a backdrop, experience frantic combat as the titular demon bounty hunter, laden with past-life troubles that weigh heavily on his shoulders.

Forge your own hero as you quest to rid the city of Zagoravia from demonic monsters and malevolent creatures. Use your skills to dodge deadly attacks from demons, leap from towering locations and crush the skulls of your foes with brutal efficiency.

The developers have rebuilt Victor Vran from the ground up for console, using Haemimont’s own proprietary game engine. This will deliver 60fps whilst keeping the esthetic feel of the game’s dark atmosphere. The isometric action RPG will also feature local 2-player co-op and online 4 player co-op action, to keep the whole family interested, with daily and weekly maps to slash through.

Haemimont Games’ CEO Gabriel Dobrev;

We’re excited to be working with Wired Productions to bring Victor Vran to millions of players around the world. Our original vision was to shake up the RPG genre by delivering the first all-action role playing game, and the response from the press and fans alike has been incredible. This partnership with Wired Productions will allow us to grow that fan base, and to engage with more players than ever before.

It is expected that Victor Vran will bring his demon slaying madness to Xbox One both digitally and physically in early 2017.

Yes, there’s a trailer. Cue the gravelly-voiceover.

Full track list revealed for We Sing

We Sing

I love a good sing-song. I’ve been dragged to the karaoke, protesting, in the past, only to have had a few cheeky drinks and ended up hogging the mic. We’ve all been there, right? Following on from the Nintendo Wii hit from 2009, We Sing Productions, have announced the full track list for their reboot of We Sing.

We Sing Productions is a collaboration between THQ Nordic, Wired Productions and Le Cortex, all original publishers and developers from the Wii version. We Sing offers original artist recording from 30 of the hottest and most iconic hits, all accompanied by their official music videos. The game aims to be the defining music singing game experience when it is released later this year. These 30 hits include 26 international number ones, spanning five decades. From Bowie to Bruno Mars, there should be something for everyone.

Getting everyone involved is the name of the game, too. Not only can it support up to four of the official We Sing microphones, but you’ll be able to turn your Android or iOS smartphone into a fully-fledged microphone using the free We Sing Mic companion app. This allows for an amazing 10 simultaneous players to own the stage on one console, although this might get a little noisy in one lounge.

Players will be able to sing solo or or collaborate in order to climb to the top of the online leaderboards and become the star they were born to be. We Sing will also feature 12 game modes, customisable playlists, a jukebox mode and the opportunity to sing without the artist vocals for that authentic karaoke experience.

Grab yourself a drink and browse through this virtual folder full of hits.

Tiny Troopers Joint Ops dated for Xbox One

tiny_troopers_joint_ops

I remember the first time I saw a trailer for Tiny Troopers Joint Ops. In my mind, I was screaming, “Please let it be like Cannon Fodder”. Happily, it looks to be a modern version of the Amiga classic title although it was initially only slated for a different, inferior console. Until now.

Wired Productions have announced today that Tiny Troopers Joint Ops is coming to Xbox One and it’ll have some exclusive content. Developed for the One by Epiphany Games, Tiny Troopers will feature four brand new Zombie Wave maps, an all new soundtrack and an Ultra Hard Mode for those who like their shooters near-impossible.

So, what else can we expect from this twin-stick shooter? Over 60 action-packed mini-maps of mayhem, Zombie Survival Mode and three specialist mercenary recruits to acquire and equip; Medics, Machine Gunners and Elite Delta Force.

So, when can you expect to be seeing Tiny Troopers Joint Ops on your shiny Xbox One? It’s scheduled to launch on the 26th of February.

Here’s the announcement trailer from way back in September 2014.

Meet the Super Dungeon Bros.

Super-Dungeon-Bros

Who doesn’t love a good old dungeon crawler? There’s a cracking co-op dungeon brawler heading to Xbox One and Windows 10 later this year. Super Dungeon Bros. is promising action, enemies and fighting. It stars four bros and developer, React Games wants you to meet them.

These heavy metal heroes are from Rokheim, think Dungeons and Dragons meets Spinal Tap.

  • Axl, he’s the blue guy, he fights first and asks questions later.
  • Lars, the yellow fellow, he’s a lover, not a fighter.
  • Freddie’s red and he’s a little bit nuts.
  • Ozzie’s green. He doesn’t eat bats but he is the joker in the pack.

Watch the trailer below to get more of an idea of what Super Dungeon Bros. is all about.

Come dungeon crawling with React! Games

superdungeonbros

Throw that chain-mail over your shoulders, sharpen that sword and cram on that helmet, it’s dungeon-crawling time. American developer, React! Games, who started life by remaking ARCHON for PC and iOS, have announced a fabulous new IP coming this autumn on Xbox One.

Super Dungeon Bros is a rock music themed co-op dungeon brawler in which a band of four super-tough bros must pillage the endless dungeons of Rokheim, a giant scar of godforsaken earth, where wars are waged in epic dungeons by the gods themselves. Buckle-up with up to four players controlling the hard-rocking warrior bros in the ever-changing dungeons which combine rock fantasy, dangerous foes, deadly obstacles and hazardous puzzles. Wayne’s World it is not!

The action will be more intense than a riff from Dragonforce as you plunder loot and take on end of level boss fights, all to the mantra of ‘Bros B4 Foes!’. The game will feature upgradeable weapons and as you can see from the trailer below, co-operative multi-player action.

Publisher, Wired Productions’ Managing Director Leo Zullo is clearly excited for this successful kickstarter,

We fell in love with Super Dungeon Bros the second we set eyes on it, and we knew we had to bring it to players worldwide. With the experience we’ve gained in developing music games, and our full on charge into digital publishing, partnering with the team at React! to bring some Rock into the fantasy world of Super Dungeon Bros was a match made in Rock Heaven!

Super Dungeon Bros will have elements that carry over from the single player campaign too, scaling itself for it, so any player can rock out on their own to the dungeon beat. The bonus with this is that you’ll keep any collectable you pick up along the way, to be used in the co-op mode. Daily and weekly challenges are promised too, as well as dedicated leaderboards.

Here’s the trailer then, get ready to rock out with your axe out.
