Curve Digital’s indie platformer Thomas Was Alone, is making its way to Xbox One and other platforms during November 2014 for the very reasonable price of £6.99. Created by Mike Bithell, with a BAFTA-award winning voice over performance by Danny Wallace and with a rousing score by David Housden, Thomas Was Alone is a study in simplicity. A 2D platform-puzzle game that quickly engages and engrosses the player with its charming storyline and art style.
To celebrate the announcement, Curve has created ‘documentary’ video of the experience of porting the game to Console, which you can view below. Originally released on Steam in July 2012, Thomas has since enjoyed releases on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and iPad, developed by Curve Studios and Bossa Studios. The game has sold over one million copies worldwide, making it one of the bestselling indie titles ever.
Curve Studios, the original developer of the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions, will be developing the new versions of Thomas Was Alone, which will be available on the Wii U, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2014.
