I remember one of the first games I played on Xbox One and indeed, reviewed, on TiX. It was Riptide GP 2 and it was some fun, pretty mindless water-based racing. Nothing too taxing. Well, over a year later and developer, Vector Unit, have revealed the second trailer for the incoming Riptide GP: Renegade.
Coming sometime in the second quarter of 2016, Riptide GP: Renegade will offer the same rocket-powered water based racing as GP 2 did. Power your craft through futuristic environments while pulling off crazy mid-air stunts to boost your speed. Fight your way to the front of the pack.
Riptide GP: Renegade will feature a challenging single player Career Mode as well as split-screen local and online multiplayer. As with GP2, you can earn XP and in-game cash to use for jetbike upgrades, unlocking new cunning stunts and increasing your rider’s performance.
There will be a variety of race types to battle through as well as boss races to win as you embark on your career. Blast your way to the top of the underground hydro jet circuit. Compete against your friends or your best of enemies in 60fps 1080p visual goodness.
Matt Small, Creative Director and Co-Founder at Vector Unit;
We’ve been hard at work getting Riptide GP: Renegade ready for series fans and new players alike. This version has ben developed from the ground up for next-gen consoles. We kept what worked, but completely retuned the mechanics and the graphics engine, and we can’t wait for players to get their hands on the game.
Riptide GP: Renegade is coming to Xbox One in the second quarter of this year. I’d really love to see some rider character DLC for it. Deadpool pulling some of the stunts below would be awesome.
Here’s the new trailer for you. Let us know what you think.
