…Become Immortal…

For those of us that were fans of the series, it was a sad day to see THQ crumble as they did. It was made worse when the future of WWE Games was left in the balance. Thankfully 2K, the team behind the astounding NBA 2K series, have taken up the mantle. In conjunction with Yukes/WWE Games (the guys that made all current gen wrasslin’ games), WWE 2K14 is a reality. Now I’m glad to announce that 2K have released the game’s debut trailer, which you can check out down below.

You can notice a few things in this video. For example, new situational finishers. Finishers can now be executed on more than one person at the same time. They can also be done in situations like HBK’s flapjack super kick in the trailer. This is much akin to the top rope reversal finishers from WWE 13.

The confirmed roster so far is comprised of:

  • The Rock
  • Stone Cold Steve Austin
  • Shawn Michaels
  • Macho Man Randy Savage
  • John Cena
  • Ryback
  • Dolph Ziggler

We can expect to see other current superstars and WWE legends announced in the weeks leading up to the game’s release, much like it has been done in the past. But I wouldn’t worry, we’ll definitely see top stars such as CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose.

That’s not all. We’ve known for some time that part-time ring-general, Dwayne ‘Don’t Call Me The Rock’ Johnson will grace this year’s cover. We have The Great One here in all his glory, which you can see down below.

No word yet on whether this will be released on the Xbox One, the safe bet would be that it will be. But for now it’s not certain.

Become Immortal with WWE 2K14, featuring current WWE Superstars and your favorite WWE Legends! Available on October 29, 2013 on Xbox 360.
