We seem to have had a glut of space-based action recently with Elite: Dangerous and Starpoint Gemini 2 being two titles that stand out in that asteroid field. Well, indie developer Codex Worlds will be bringing Infinium Strike to Xbox One, mainly thanks to a very successful Kickstarter campaign.
This studio, which includes a number of ex-Ubisoft employees, have also revealed that a version of this new deep-space action strategy hybrid will be playable at booth 17088 at PAX South in San Antonio, Texas when it runs, from the 29th to the 31st of January.
What can we expect from Infinium Strike then? Well, it will feature a full story campaign includng challenging mission objectives. There’ll also be a competitive Deep Space Arcade mode with multi-directional ship defence. The game will boast a wide variety of tactics to employ, using towers, ships and TSF SuperTech abilities.
There will be a progressive ranking system for you to achieve as well as four levels of difficulty and multiple ships, turret types and towers to experiment with.
Expect Infinium Strike to launch on Xbox One in the second quarter of 2016.
Did I mention an announcement trailer? No? That’s not like me. Here it is.
