Ghost Blade HD release date announced

Ghost Blade HD

German-based Hucast Games have teamed up with 2Dream to produce fresh bullet hell, Ghost Blade HD. They have been working on the project for quite a while and they have finally announced when we can expect to be able to play it.

Ghost Blade HD is an intense bullet-hell shoot ’em up title with an addicitive score-based gameplay. With a retro feel, taking inspiration from the shoot ’em ups of the 1990s, this vertical or horizontal shooter is bound to satisfy veteran gamers and should offer something for new players too.

With beautifully detailed HD graphics Ghost Blade HD will be bringing five stages of bullet mayhem with huge end of level bosses to defeat. The game will offer 3 battle ships to choose from, laden with different gun types and if you’re finding that you’re not able to avoid the enemy fire, well, it’s instant respawn time. There will be no irritating cutscenes in between the action.

Other features to be included will be Easy, Medium and Hard difficulty levels, a Practice mode and a Score Attack Mode. Fine tuned gameplay and a balanced difficulty curve. Add to this, two-player co-op, Full 1080p HD at 60 frames per second and a Japanese Shoot ’em up-inspired soundtrack from Rafael Dyll, composer for Rainbow Moon.

10,000 years ago an Artificial Intelligence known as Shira was built to protect the residents of Mars. As time passed, the AI became corrupt and Shira started to attack the Mars colonies. With no way to defend itself from the Evil Shira, Mars calls for help. The Earth Defence Force presses Shira to flee to an abandoned space station on the outskirts of the solar system. The Defence Force notices this and sends their bravest fighter, you, to destroy Shira before it can complete its new attack force and threaten the existence of the universe.

Sounds good, right? You won’t need to wait too long for Ghost Blade HD. Hucast have revealed that it will be hitting the Xbox One, in a frenzy of bullets and explosions, on the 28th of February.
